Buttercup Festival Lineup Announced!

The live music lineup for the 24th Annual Historic Nolensville Buttercup Festival has been announced! We’re thrilled to be sharing the stage with some great, local groups and performers. Check out the lineup in the pic below, and learn a little more about the artists in the comments of this Instagram post!

Don’t call it a comeback…

Mayday Malone has been on hiatus for the past several years. Our lead guitar player decided it was time for him to leave the band. Around the same time, the rest of the band moved to the suburbs and got busy with our family lives. It didn’t take long for us to realized how much we missed making music together. Chris, Daryl, and Scott are now back to working on new music and reworking some of our old favorites as a three-piece. We’ve purchased some recording gear, and are looking forward to releasing some new tracks early next year. We’re also hoping to get in a few select live performances before the end of the year. Much more to come soon. Stay tuned…

We’ll Be Live on the Radio Saturday, July 16th!

Have you been wanting to hear Mayday Malone live, and haven’t been able to make it to a show yet?  Well, here’s your chance!  On Saturday, July 16th, we’ll be playing a stripped-down, acoustic set in front of a live studio audience for The Blue Plate Special Radio Show on WDVX out of Knoxville, TN!  The hour long show starts at noon Eastern time, and we’ll be playing the 2nd half hour of the show.  The Blue Plate Special airs live on 89.9fm in the Knoxville area, and can be streamed live from the show’s website.  If you’re in the Knoxville area, please come by and see us in person.  We love turning fans in to new friends.  We’ll also have copies of our brand new album “Red Dodge Charger” available for sale, as well as shirts, stickers, coozies, and our previous albums in case you don’t already have a copy of those.  As always, stay tuned to our Facebook page and our Twitter for all the up-to-the-minute details on everything Mayday Malone!

We’re heading back to Big Ears!

Mayday Malone is heading back into the studio next weekend!  We don’t have a working title for the new recordings yet, but we’ll be working with our good friend Paul Gannon at Big Ears Studio again.  This is where we recorded our debut EP, “The Helmwood Sessions: Vol. I” in 2012.  We’re very excited about the collection of songs we’ve picked to include on this new EP, and we’re tossing around the idea of adding a fun new cover we’ve been playing.  Stay tuned to our Facebook page and our Twitter machine for updates on the new EP, upcoming shows, and everything else Mayday Malone.  Hope to see y’all soon!

Want to join the band?

Mayday Malone is looking for an experienced keyboard player that would like to join the band, play shows, drink beer, and generally have a good time. Must live in the Nashville area, be available for semi-regular rehearsals, and be willing to play 2-3 shows a month, some of which require travel on the weekends. For more information email us at maydaymaloneband@gmail.com.
